The global classroom in Welthaus Heidelberg is a place of extra-curricular learning for worldwide topics. Visiting children and young people are able to dip into the world of global relations. Educational topics on offer focus on themes such as consumerism, sustainability, economic justice, climate politics, human rights and migration. The topics encourage young people to contemplate the world they live in, inviting them to change their perspective. The majority of workshops can be booked for school groups of various ages, and are free of charge.
In order to advertise the varied opportunities to take part in workshops and projects, the Global Classroom needed a flyer concept with as much flexibility as possible in its application. Aside from easy recogniseability, a broad range of themes should be presented playfully in a way that spoke to various target groups, such as teachers, parents and potential employees.
We have developed a visual look that is capable of communicating a wide range of content, is easy to adapt and can be transferred to other media in the future. The stamp-style text is reminiscent of that used on sacks of coffee or cocoa, visually touching on the theme of the global flow of products. The colour selection of the design is aligned to a palette associated with the social-ecological field, so that the recipient immediately gets the right feeling. Aside from this, the flyers stand out through their professional and harmonious design.
