The 16th German Child and Youth Welfare Congress (Deutsche Kinder- und Jungendhilfetag/DJHT) is Europe’s largest convention with an integrated trade fair focusing on the field of children’s and youth aid. The DJHT offers a space for exchange and networking, thereby allowing for various viewpoints from theoreticians and practitioners to come together. The event encourages the education and training of specialists, and is a central place for the exchange of ideas and knowledge.
The upcoming event has the motto “22 Million Young Opportunities: Together Shaping a Fair Society”. Approximately 22 million children and youth between the ages of 0 to 27 live in Germany. Every child and every young person represents a chance for our society, and they deserve every possibility to be able to lead a self-determined and responsible life.
Together with the motto, the diversity of children’s and youth aid forms the focal point of the event’s design, in order to effectively communicate the event to the public. The challenge here was to find a visual motif that did not discriminate against any group, but remained open for all themes and debates. We have conceptualised an abstract image which picks up on the theme of diversity and leaves space for flexibility in its form. The strong, bright colours lend themselves to an optimistic and positive look and feel.
